2019 In Review

/ 20th December 2019

With 2020 fast approaching, it comes as a time to reflect on the year we have had here at Morgan Fuels.

Every year, since we started in 1981, has seen this business grow and develop and 2019 has been no different and we hope the same will be said at the end of 2020. This year we had a lot to celebrate in our 38th year of business.

Each of our valued departments have expanded and grown these past 12 months and that is only set to continue in the new year. Having started with a single lorry in 1981, it is exciting to see a bustling office with a diverse range of people who all share the same values of customer service and going the extra mile. Extra miles where certainly put in back in May, literally, when the Morgan Fuels team put on their running shoes for the Belfast Marathon taking part in the relay and 9km walk.

This expansion of our team has come as a result of the business having an ever growing presence in Europe, with over 5000 sites now present across Ireland, the UK and Europe. We are proud to see this grow and we have big plans for further growth in the next 12 months. To now have a presence in 16 countries is a great achievement for the business and this is down to a great team effort of our hard working staff to make this possible.

We not only expanded our reach in Europe this year but also our range of services available for our customers. The introduction of new services including shipping and telematics have proved popular as we are now able to do even more for our customers saving them both valuable time and money with our one stop fleet management system.

As you can see many things have changed from our single lorry, and like every business technology has been a key corner stone to our business. This year we saw our new website launched, making us even more reachable by all of our customers whether it is to order home heating oil or to help find their closest pump to use.

2019 was also the year we were able to give back even more to local charities and support local causes such as the Irish Hospice Foundation, RNLI, Newry & Mourne Gateway Club, The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, Marie Curie, Newry  Hospice, Solving Kids Cancer and Keep Er lit for Kayden.

It has been a great 38 years so far and we are excited for a new year, fresh with new challenges and new goals. From everyone here at Morgan Fuels we would like to wish all of our customers whether you are new or have been with us from the start a very Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year.
